Bobcat Mini-Excavators & Backhoe unable to drive up ramp onto flat bed had to have help

My husband and I have a small kitten (we think is around 8 weeks old or older, but very slightly) that is a male. He meows pathetically, and was very ill when he first came to us. His eyes were crusted shut, which we took care of immediately, and bought polysporin for the infection. Now that kitty is better (he’s still kind of goopy now and again), he eats….like a HORSE!

We got Friskies from my husband’s mother originally, and then switched to Compliments because it’s what we can afford. The kitten refused to eat it. We went back out, and bought two giant tubs of Friskies, which the kitten literally dives headfirst into! He ate so much yesterday that his stomach looked distended, and overnight the bloat went away, but only because we took the food/water away from him. In the morning, we gave the water back, and then re-introduced the foodbowl, and he plowed into it like a backhoe!

I’m fairly positive the kitten does not have worms (as evidenced by his stool) but the way it eats concerns me. His nose was white before eating, and afterward, it turned pink again like normal.

Is something wrong with our kitten, and we just aren’t seeing it? Please help. Thank you very much.
Alicia, that’s not it. The kitten eats ALL DAY LONG. I *highly* doubt it’s “hungry”…all..damn…day. Serious answers ONLY please. Enough smart-asses roam these boards.
It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada, and the vet’s office is closed, sadly. We have to wait til Tuesday. Any ideas til then?
